Welcome to WWF Greece! We are the Greek national office of the WWF global network. Although we are fully aligned with the network’s targets and principals, we are financially independent and develop our strategy according to Greek conservation priorities.
Our mission is to stop the degradation of our planet's natural environment, and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
In order to achieve this mission, WWF focuses its efforts on two broad areas:
The first
is to ensure that the earth's web of life - biodiversity -
stays healthy and vibrant for generations to come. We are strategically
focusing on conserving critical places and critical species that are particularly important
for the conservation of our earth's rich biodiversity.
The second is to reduce the negative impacts of human activity – our ecological
footprint. We are working to ensure that the natural
resources required for life - land, water, air - are managed sustainably and
equitably.

of chartered accountants and the Ministry of Financial Affairs.

Professional management, a clear mid-term strategy, strict financial management according to national and international standards and high quality reports available to the public are some of our practices that exemplify our commitment.
What is more, WWF Greece has signed the INGO Accountability Charter, a commitment of international NGOs to a high standard of transparency, accountability and effectiveness and is also certified by the management standard ISO 9001.
We set the example
- We decrease our own footprint.
- We limit our transportations abroad and at home and offset our emission through climatefriendly.
- We recycle paper, aluminum, plastic and electronic devices.
- We use ecological detergents.
- We avoid the use of plastic and disposable products.
- We use and promote organic and Mediterranean products in our events.
